The Padma Children’s Foundation aims to offer help to children and young people in need regardless of nationality, social class or religion. The goal is to make long-term improvements to their situation. The Foundation is non-profit making and its charitable status is recognised by the state for the purposes of federal taxes.

Tax Status: The Padma Children’s Foundation is registered with the Tax Authorities in Munich under the tax number 84822769as non-profit making and as a charity to further the welfare of young people.

Administration: The Padma Foundation is run by the Kinderfonds Stiftungszentrum. This non-profit making body assists private individuals as well as corporations to establish and run their organisations. The Chairman is Prof. Dr Klaus Offerhaus, former president of the Federal Finance Department.

The Financial Administration of PADMA
The administration fees payable to Kinderfonds Stiftungszentrum amount to maximum 3% of the proceeds donated to the charity. These costs and all other expenses that do not directly benefit the Aid projects, such as publicity, events and bank transfer charges are met by the founder of the charity. 100% of all donations benefit the aid projects.

PADMA is a registered member of the Federal Association of German Charities.

Bundesverband: Die Stiftung ist Mitglied im Bundesverband deutscher Stiftungen.

The beginnings :Gregor Kovacic founded PADMA in January 2003. The initial costs of setting up the charity were met by Allianz AG, one of the main sponsors of Kinderfonds Stiftungszentrum.
